Build a simple raised garden bed
Half day $80–$160 CAD pricing

Materials (4×4 ft × 11" tall)

  • 4 cedar 2×6 boards, 4 ft long
  • 4 cedar 2×6 boards stacked for height (8 total)
  • 16 exterior screws (3"), drill, square
  • Landscape fabric, soil/compost mix

Steps

  1. Square up two boards end-to-end and screw together at corners.
  2. Stack a second course on top and screw through the corners.
  3. Set the bed in place, level the ground roughly.
  4. Line the bottom with landscape fabric.
  5. Fill with a 60/40 mix of triple mix and compost.

Cedar resists rot without chemical treatment — important if you're growing food.
